The City of Chrysochou (Polis tis Chrysochou) is situated in the northwest part of Cyprus, near Akamas Peninsula with the well-known “Baths of Aphrodite”, where the Greek goddess Aphrodite used to take her beauty baths. Its beautiful climate, crystal clear beaches and breathtaking scenery have made the area an attractive popular resort. Even though the Municipality of Polis tis Chrysochou has the smallest population, it has the privilege to be one of the oldest Municipalities of Cyprus that was shaped during the first years of the British Colonialism era.

Polis tis Chrysochou land covers around to 1870-hectare with population of 2,000 people.

We were accepted to the Healthy Cities H.F.A. Program in 1996 and our goal is to grow environmentally, to organize the developmental areas and to improve our residents' health status.
